For Christmas, Dave got me a super fancy network attached storage device…so I’ll give you one guess what I’ve been doing. You guessed it, I am organizing all of my photos onto the external drive! Now that may sound boring to you, but it means that I have also been looking through all of my 2012 images. Yesterday, I decided I would do a 2012 favorites, so I created a new folder, and started adding the wowza shots. One, two, three…forty-six. WHAT??? How did that happen? I began trying to narrow them down…not possible. I love them all! Soooooo…here’s what we’re going to do. Over the next couple weeks, you’ll get to see my favorites in different categories!
We’ll start with my personal pictures.
This shot of Ella was taken back in April when I had just switched my camera over to that scary M setting…it took so long to just take a picture with trying to remember what I was doing with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. It is also before I had any kind of editing software, so I was shooting in JPG. This was my first wowza shot.

And then we went to Africa in August. I was able to work with renowned African wildlife photographer Grant Atkinson who completely changed how I was shooting. It was such an amazing trip. Dave and I can’t wait to get back!

That brings us into fall. We came across a tree in Smedley Park that was COVERED in carvings…and I absolutely loved it with the bright fall colors behind.
