This past Saturday, I met up with the Miraglia and Walsh families for beach and sunset pictures. This was a big group with LOTS of energy!
We started on the rooftop at their beach house for a few images and then headed down to the beach.
I LOVED chasing the kids around on the beach! Needless to say, we all got a bit sandy.
I love this next series of Audrey and Cara playing in the water. I have to say, I’ve never gone out into the ocean with my gear before. Totally worth it!
These next two images of Cara and Michael make me want to photograph at the beach every day.
Nicholas was a little more reserved. He was digging the sand, but wanted no parts of the water. Look at those eyes! I think we may have a future GQ model on our hands.
One of my favorite moments is when Lindsay walked Mikey down to the water’s edge to de-sand his hands. On their way back up, the sun was at the perfect level for this timeless shot. LOVE!
Then it was back to the house…but of course I couldn’t miss out on more pictures along the way! This is Jeanette and Phil. Jeanette contacted me back in February to arrange a summer beach session for the family. And by February, you better believe I was ready for an excuse to spend some extra time in Ocean City, NJ. Jeanette found me through Suzy and Trish, you may remember them from their fall family session!
I love the photojournalistic look of these next two images. It feels like something from a magazine… one of those behind the scenes look at a celebrity family doing normal things.
When we got back, Mikey and Nicholas were having some bro time on the roof.
This next moment melted my heart. While watching me photograph different family groups, Audrey ran downstairs and came back up with her camera and started helping out. I LOVE seeing kids using cameras and starting a love for photography at such a young age. Rock it out girl!
This is Michelle and Mike. Mike tried to lay low in the background during most of the shoot, but I caught him in some shots. You can’t hide from me!
And one more to close out. This is Marie and Phil…Mom and Dad. Thank you for opening your lovely home (with a gorgeous back deck overlooking the marsh, might I add) to me. I loved photographing your family and capturing these real life moments!
