The last stop of our road trip was Newport, RI. We took a 6AM ferry out of Martha’s Vineyard and headed straight for Newport. We got in early enough to do a full day! We started by walking over to the Cliff Walk.
Then it was into the mansions for our first round of tours! We started the day at Rosecliff and then headed over to The Elms for the tour of the main house and the behind the scenes Servant Tour. After eight miles of walking, the kids were wiped.
The second day in Newport started out with the Scenic Drive.
Then off for more mansion tours and some backyard fun.
Our last stop was the Breakers. The girls absolutely loved all the tours, but this was their favorite. I love this shot of Ella trying to help me out by hiding key words in the sign. And I gotta give a shout out to Hailey for her photography skills on the picture of me!
Our last stop was at Castle Hill Lighthouse. After much traipsing through the woods, we found our way to the cliffs for a nice view!
So we’re back and readjusting to life at home. We loved New England and can’t wait for our next trip!
