Hair + Makeup Tips

The night before your session, wash and dry your hair so it will be ready for your hairstylist. Use minimal products in your hair and avoid using hot tools, such as curling or straightening irons.
You know your hair type. Gone are the days that dirty hair is better for styling.

Hair Care

The week leading up to your photoshoot please follow these easy steps in order to get the most out of your shoot.

  • Wash your face daily with a gentle cleanser (think Kiehl's, Neutrgena, Cetaphil, or similar)
  • Use toner and moisturizer, like CeraVe or Neutrogena (avoid moisturizers with oils)
  • Don't use sunscreen the day of your shoot (this can leave a white cast in your images)
  • Don't pick at your skin or any blemishes you may have (try using Mighty Patch or similar patches)
  • Wax/tweeze/dermaplane/ or use your cleansing scrubs a week prior (if needed)
  • Avoid overexposure to sun. If you like a little glow try a light spray tan for your shoot.
